Built by people who have lived it.
Nick and James have spent their careers inside organizations where human performance, operational precision, and global coordination were not theories. They built enterprise transformation practices that organizations still run on today. They led complex productions and programs across the world. They know what it takes to align people, clarify process, and make it stick.
Two careers. One firm. No shortcuts.
THE FOUNDERS
Nick Quattrocchi-Santos
CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING PARTNER
Nick Quattrocchi-Santos is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of N4 Enterprises. He has spent nearly thirty years helping organizations understand how work really happens, where it gets stuck, and why technology only works when people and process are clear first.
Nick's career began at IBM, inside their global finance systems. He started in application development, moved into SAP systems analysis, and later led SAP global finance process work with various IBM Global Finance Process Owners. That experience shaped him early. He learned how large organizations actually run: through systems, yes, but also through decisions, handoffs, ownership, and the everyday choices people make to keep work moving.
He carried that foundation into consulting at IDS Scheer and Accenture, where he helped major organizations document, understand, and improve the way work moved through the business. The tools changed. The lesson did not. A process repository or system design is only useful if it reflects reality and helps people make better decisions.
Nick later returned to operating roles, leading IT, business process, enterprise applications, program management and delivery, and payment services work at organizations including RealD, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, Progrexion, and PLI Card Marketing Solutions. Those roles put him close to the consequences of unclear work: stalled projects, disconnected tools, duplicated effort, frustrated teams, and leaders trying to make decisions without a full view of what was happening.
At N4, Nick brings the systems and process depth behind the firm's work. He understands SAP Signavio, ARIS, enterprise applications, governance, and operating models, but he does not start there. He starts with the work itself: who owns it, how it moves, where it breaks, and what people need in order to carry it forward.
Throughout his career, Nick has helped organizations untangle complexity, connect fragmented teams, establish accountability, and build a shared understanding of how work actually gets done. His approach is grounded in a simple belief: organizations perform better when people can see the work, understand their role in it, and make decisions with confidence.
That perspective defines Nick's contribution to N4 and to every client engagement he leads: turning complexity into clarity, creating alignment across the organization, and building operating foundations that endure.
James Quattrocchi-Santos
CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING PARTNER
James Quattrocchi-Santos is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of N4 Enterprises. He has spent nearly three decades leading people in high-pressure environments where the work only holds when trust, structure, timing, and accountability come together.
James came to process through performance first. Early in his career, he worked inside the Metropolitan Opera and the New York City Opera, where quality depended on hundreds of people coordinating with precision night after night. He later founded and ran The Dance Project, directing, choreographing, casting, producing, and leading the company for seven years. That first founder chapter taught him how to build something from the ground up, hold a creative standard, and keep people moving toward the same outcome.
His global operations chapter came through Cirque du Soleil. As Artistic Assistant Director and later Artistic Director for Amaluna, James was accountable for daily show quality and a cross-functional team of more than 100 performers, technical staff, and operational personnel across Europe and South America. The work was creative, but it was also operational: casting, training, scheduling, logistics, HR, budget tracking, compliance, and coordination across countries and cultures.
After Cirque, James directed and consulted for Vangart in Rosario, Argentina, on a project funded by the Government Department of Culture and Tourism. He led the production and helped build the company's operational infrastructure, work formally recognized by the city of Rosario.
James later carried that same discipline into business operations, leading operations and culture work in property management and holding operational leadership roles in large-scale event production. Those roles put him close to the realities most organizations struggle to name: unclear responsibilities, uneven handoffs, informal workarounds, and teams trying to deliver under pressure without enough structure around them.
His SAP Signavio work grew from that operator's lens. James has worked across enterprise process design, governance alignment, BPMN modeling, stakeholder facilitation, training, documentation, standards, and enablement.
At N4, James brings the human side of transformation into the center of the work. He knows how to read a room, surface what people are not saying, and turn operational reality into shared understanding. His work helps people feel safe enough to tell the truth about how work happens, then structured enough to improve it.
What experience taught us.
THE FOUNDING STORY
N4 was founded on six decades of doing the work themselves. Nick and James have worked inside day-to-day operations and alongside the people responsible for keeping organizations running. They have helped shape change, and they have carried out difficult policies and mandates created by others. They have seen the wins and the losses, the breakthroughs, the rebuilds, and the moments when starting over was the only way forward.
Those experiences led them to the same discovery: their why is people. People hold the history, the institutional knowledge, and the operational truth of every organization. They are your culture and the reason your organization functions the way it does. When you begin with what your people know and how the work actually happens, something remarkable becomes possible.
People
Every engagement starts here. It is our philosophy because it is the only way that works.
Process
When people are engaged, the process reflects reality. Not assumptions. Not theory. How the work actually gets done.
Technology
Technology serves the people and the process. Never the other way around. We make sure of that every time.
How we work.
Every engagement starts with a conversation.
Not a proposal. Not a pitch. A conversation about where you are, what you are trying to accomplish, and what the work actually requires.
From there, everything we do is built around what we hear.
There is no standard package we retrofit to your situation. We design the engagement around your organization, your people, and the work that actually needs to happen.
Throughout every engagement, Nick and James are directly involved.
You have senior attention from the first conversation to the final deliverable. When the work requires additional expertise, we bring in trusted, seasoned consultants from our network who meet the same standard we hold ourselves to.
We work remotely by default.
When the work calls for us to be in the room, we are there.
And when we are done, the work does not leave with us.
We build capability inside your organization so it lasts and continues to evolve after we are gone.
The answers already live inside your people.
We help you build the culture, the capability, and the conditions to surface them.
